Dynamics ofchanges in optical absorption induced by exposition to short- and long-wavelength radiation in the BTO:Al crystal

We study experimentally the absorption-coefficient dynamics in the BTO:Al crystal by using two techniques. First, the photoinduced absorption variations were caused by a strong light beam with the darkening wavelengths λd = 532 nm, while the changes in absorption were monitored by the sample transmission of weak radiation with another wavelengthλl = 655 nm. Second, we measured the temporal behaviour of the changes for inherentabsorption induced by a single laser beam with the wavelengthλd = 532 nmor λl = 655 nm
