Multicriteria optimization of four-conductor modal filter by genetic algorithms

Multicriteria optimization by genetic algorithms is considered. Parameters of multiconductor modal filters (MF) are optimized. Optimization with the use of a multicriteria objective function with amplitude and time criteria for matching with the characteristic impedance of 50 Ω is considered. One amplitude, two range-time and one interval-time criteria, as well as the matching criterion are used. Thus, five-criteria optimization of five parameters of the four-conductor microstrip MF was performed. The results showed the importance of multiconductor MF optimization with simultaneous use of several criteria.
