A Stand for Studying Backscattering of Radio-Frequency Pulses
Статья в журнале
A stand for studying backscattering of radio-frequency (RF) pulses with durations of 1.75–3.1 ns with a variable filling frequency from 5.3 to 8.8 GHz is described. Pulses are formed by a single-board transceiver module and are emitted by a transmitting broadband antenna with linear polarization. A backscattered signal is received by the receiving antenna system, which consists of the antenna itself, a polarization signal separator, and an RF switching channel. The signal is then amplified, processed in the receiving channel of the measuring device, and recorded on a PC. The stand is designed to conduct studies of the properties of dielectric and other materials, metamaterials, protective coatings of antennas and structures, as well as various oversized objects in laboratory conditions. The stand can be used when setting up experimental works whose implementation requires the emission and reception of electromagnetic waves excited by RF pulses of nanosecond duration.
